Guitar Rack

I was going to buy some of those right-angle guitar hangers and a piece of slatwall to hang my guitars.

But I cheaped out and decided to make my own out of a piece of left-over pine shelving. I measured the guitar necks and made a paper template.

Then I cut the slots in the rack.
Mounted and tested, it's good!

I painted it to match the wall color, at the suggestion of my better half, and applied some green felt with double-sided tape to the points of contact with the guitars. Looks good!

I have four guitars and the hanger has 5 slots. I wonder what I could do about that...

UPDATE: I figured out the  solution!

I got one of these and added it. Problem solved.

But now I notice there is a lot of empty wall space in front of this rack. I could make a longer rack with more slots, but then I will have more empty slots. What a problem to have.
